Signature Hole
The signature hole is the par five 12th hole, known as “Green Mamba.” On the tee a breathtaking view unfolds before you. The fairway stretches out towards a cascading waterfall, its roar mingling with the rustle of the trees.

San Lemeer Golf Club
Nestled along South Africa’s stunning coastline, San Lameer Golf Club offers a golfer’s paradise with its lush fairways and challenging greens. Each hole presents a unique challenge. Strategically placed bunkers and water hazards demand precision. The course meanders through indigenous coastal forests, providing glimpses of local wildlife. Signature Holes
San Lameer Golf Club boasts several signature holes that stand out for their unique challenges and scenic beauty:
Hole 4: This par-3, 150-meter hole is reminiscent of Augusta National’s famous 12th hole. It features a shallow green fronted by a water hazard and bunkers behind, demanding precision and accuracy.
Hole 7: A formidable 413-meter par 4. This hole curves right around a stream lined with trees, making it one of the toughest on the course.
Hole 13: This 454-meter par-5 is a tough challenge. With an island fairway between the tee box and green, requiring strategic play to navigate.
Hole 18: Known as the “road hole,” this 334-meter par-4 plays alongside the main R61 highway and finishes with a penensula green fronted with water.

Southbroom Golf Club

Events Formats
The South Coast Golf Challenge features a variety of formats to test your skills and keep the competition exciting.
The Wild Coast Golf Challenge will entertain a Four Ball Alliance, with two scores to count and all scores to count on the par three’s
Southbroom Golf Challenge is the well known Four Ball Better Ball format played on the challenging course.
Last but not least is the challenging San Lameer Golf Challenge. It is the toughest of them all, being an IPS with all scores to count.
The playing formats for the prestigious South Coast Golf Challenge will remain static for all the courses throughout the year-long competition.
Teams can compete for the prestigious amateur golf trophy any weekend throughout the year. If you have an off weekend, you can rebook and try again as many times as you want.

The Inaugural South Coast Golf Challenge
Opening tournament tee’s off on the Friday the 25th October 2024 so make sure you arrive on the evening of Thursday the 24th October 2024 and meet your fellow competitors.
Bookings are open for the inaugural South Coast Golf Challenge from the 1st October 2024 and only for the inaugural South Coast Golf Challenge will their be a cut off for the bookings. This will be on the 21st October 2024.
This Prestigious golfing event is not a weekend competition, it runs the year through. Bookings for the rest of the year are open up until the 22nd September 2025.
All bookings will be for Thursday evening to Sunday Morning
While enjoying the snacks and the company of your fellow competitors the formats will be announced for the three courses to be played. The formats will be static for the yearly tournament. The draws will be done of who will be playing together. The four ball tee off times will be finalised.
What your team will be playing for?
The winning team in the weekly tournament will receive a worthwhile prize and depending on player turnout for the week other prizes will be considered.
The Ultimate prize for this yearly tournament is the coveted Floating Trophy and your names will be etched on it and you will receive a smaller replica of your achievement.
The yearly winners will receive the maximum allowed for amateurs to receive and there will be an array of great prizes for the top ten finishers.
